These paintings involve the incorporation of mirrors in a still life. I began using mirrors to distort the space. For these paintings I wanted the space to feel a little unbalanced and feel alluring with the high key color palette. I was looking at Pierre Bonnard for his perspective on space and color. This semester I realized that the mirror is an important and fascinating tool to use when I create a painting.

Kit, Excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!G4
Kit! Fantastic work here! Pure brilliance! Just fascinating! If I had a pot of soup I was making and it needed something added to it to make it tastier, spicier, healthier, sexier, more tranquil, more dynamic, more sensational, more appetizing, more simplistic yet complex or anything else, I would add a few of your paintings. Your paintings would recreate what soup is, it would redefine what a pot of stew is, it would reengage the worlds population of their senses. It would make people feel love again, to feel free again, to feel liberated above and beyond conventional society and influence and would transform all of the dead flowers and fish into lively god-like creatures capable of peeing rainbows across the sky that would rain skittles down into our pockets for those moments when we want to eat a couple of those little sugary specimens.
Enjoy!
